Iron based spray wires

Corthal® 35 Sp-T spray wires

Is a flux cored wire that was especially designed for the arc-spraying process. Coatings show a high resistance against abrasion, erosion as well as corrosion under high temperatures. Further, the material has a high hardness in cambination with a very good bond strength and the friction coefficient is low, too. it is possible to apply the spraying material for several mm without any spalling effect.

The welding core can be used for fan castings, drawing discs and finned walls.

Corthal® 42 Sp spray wires

Is a flux-cored wire that was especially designed for the arc-spraying process. Coatings are abrasion and corrosion resistant, as well as easily machinable.

The cored wire are used for boiler walls and in the paper and food industrie.

Corthal® 55 Sp spray wires

Coatings of Corthal® 55 Sp show high abrasion resistance.

Typical applications are found in devices, which are working in an abrasive environment (e.g. industrial fans) or are used for feeding abrasive goods (e.g. rollers for conveyer balts, conveyer screw housing).

Corthal® 60 Sp spray wires

Is a flux-cored wire that was especially designed for the arc-spraying process. Coatings show a very high abrasion (mineral media) and friction resistance. Further, the alloy has a sufficient resistance against corrosion.

The cored wires are used for rollers for conveyer belts, industrial fans and conveyer screw housings.

Corthal® 300 HC Sp spray wires

Is a low-alloyed flux-cored wire on iron base.

Coatings have a good resistance against rubbing wear.

Corthal® 307 Sp spray wires

Is a flux cored wire electrode specially designed for arc spraying. The spray coating is highly corrosion resistant, scale resistant up to 850°C, but resists only extremely weak abrasion attack.

Although the stainless steel alloy can withstand working temperatures technically up to 300°C, the spray coating should only be exposed to moderate temperatures due to its characteristics.

Corthal® 725 HC Sp spray wires

Is a high alloyed iron-based flux cored wire electrode, developed for thermal arc spraying. It contains special carbides that are finder in comparison with conventional hard coatings. This results in a higher resistance against abrasion and especially erosion.
