Corthal® NiFe 36 Cored Wires

Is a flux cored electrode to be welded under inert gas and alloyed with a high nickel content. The deposited weld metal has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion due to an alloy content of approx. 36% nickel and is therefore technically significant for cast iron welding. Since this alloy practically does not expand when heated up to 200°C and thus shrinkage stresses can be kept to a minimum, the material is used especially for joint welding of GGL and GGG as well as of cast iron with steel.

The hardness grade is 140 - 160 HB.

Thaloy® NiFe 60/40 Cored Wires

Is a Ni-, Fe-alloyed flux cored electrode for cast iron cold welding to be welded under inert gas. The high-nickel alloy is suitable for joining cast iron with nodular graphite, malleable cast iron and lamellar gray cast iron as well as for joint welding of cast iron with steel.

The hardness grade is 160 - 190 HB.
