Corthal® 4009 Cored Wires

Is a flux cored electrode for joining dissimilar materials and for build-up welding of a tough, low carbon stainless alloy in normal position (PA). The weld metal is corrosion resistant like a 13% Cr steel and temperature resistant up to 450°C.
Because of the high hardness, however, the application should be limited to a maximum of two layers.
The welding wires are used in surface coatings for water, steam and gas fittings with working temperatures up to 450°C.

The hardness grade is 300 - 350 HB.

Corthal® 4015 Cored Wires

Is a high Cr alloyed flux cored electrode available for open arc welding as well as for gas shielded and submerged arc welding. The deposited weld metal is suitable for joining dissimilar materials. The alloy is stainless and corrosion resistant, like 17% Cr steel of the same type, to seawater, dilute organic and inorganic acids. During welding, care should be taken to minimize heat input, since ferritic 17% Cr steels tend to become brittle due to coarse grain formation.

The welding wires are used for surface coatings on seals for water, steam and gas fittings with working temperatures up to 450°C.

The hardness grade is 220 - 240 HB.

Corthal® 4028 Cored Wires

Is a high Cr alloyed flux cored electrode. The settled corrosion resistant, martensitic weld metal provides good resistance to friction wear steel/steel and is also used in erosion attack under temperatures up to 450°C.

The welding wires are used for claddings on sealing surfaces of water, steam and gas fittings, guide rollers for continuous casting equipment, centrifuges, pump housings...

The hardness grade is 46 - 48 HRc.

Corthal® 4115 Cored Wires

Is a Cr, Mo alloyed flux cored electrode for welding under shielding gas or powder. The deposited weld metal is stainless and corrosion resistant to seawater, such as type 17% chromium steels, and dilute organic and inorganic acids. During welding, care must be taken to minimize heat input, since ferritic 17% chromium steels tend to become brittle due to coarse grain formation.

The welding rods are used, among other things, for guide bearings, sliding rings, bridge bearings...

The hardness grade is 42 - 44 HRc.

Corthal® 4122 Cored Wires

Is a Cr, Mo alloyed flux cored electrode for welding under shielding gas or powder. The deposited weld metal is stainless and corrosion resistant to seawater, such as type 17% chromium steels, and dilute organic and inorganic acids. During welding, care should be taken to minimize heat input, since ferritic 17 % chromium steels tend to become brittle due to coarse grain formation.

The welding wires are used for sealing surfaces, rolling bearings, mixer parts, mixer linings...

The hardness grade is 48 - 50 HRc.

Corthal® 4351 Cored Wires

Is a Cr, Ni, Mo alloyed flux cored electrode available for open arc welding as well as for gas shielded and submerged arc welding. The deposited martensitic weld metal is tough, corrosion resistant and offers very good resistance to cavitation and erosion. The alloy is particularly suitable for coatings on parts of seawater and power plants, assemblies in the food and paper industries, and transportation equipment in the chemical industry.

The welding wires are used for continuous casting rolls, sealing surfaces, sliding surfaces, valves, liquid pumps, water turbines...

The hardness grade is 38 - 41 HRc.

Corthal® 4370 Cored Wires

Is a high-alloyed flux cored electrode whose deposited, austenitic weld metal is rust-resistant, work-hardening, amagnetic as well as heat and scale resistant up to 850°C. This alloy is particularly suitable for ductile interlayers before hardfacing. Due to the high ductility of the weld metal, difficult-to-weld and strong-hardening steels as well as Mn-hard steels can be joined with high crack resistance.

The welding wires are used for impact bars, rollers, rails, crushers, buffer layers of hard overlays, joint welding on Mn hard shells...

The hardness grade is 180 - 200 HB (hardened 400 HB).

Corthal® 4459 Cored Wires

Is a high-alloy flux cored electrode for welding under shielding gas or powder and is used for build-up and joint welding.

In addition to buffer layers and joints of different steels, the material is primarily used for corrosion-resistant CrNiMo claddings.

The hardness grade is 180 - 200 HB.

Corthal® 29/9 Cored Wires

Is high Cr, Ni alloyed flux cored electrode depositing an austenitic-ferritic weld metal. The material is primarily used for joint welding on difficult-to-weld steels. Special properties are the good ductility and crack resistance of the weld metal.

The welding wires are used for shafts, gears, construction machinery...

The hardness grade is 210 - 230 HB.
