The PTA process is a thermal high-performance coating process for flat and rotationally symmetrical components. It enables coating with high-alloy materials, e.g. with tungsten carbide-reinforced nickel-based alloys or cobalt-based alloys.
By using robust PTA torches in the power range of 200-600 A, high deposition rates with reliable penetration can be achieved for adapted coating tasks.
In addition to the use of automated, flexible system technology for large-area coatings, manual PTA welding systems are also used for smaller build-up welds.
